Elevate your living space with unique designs from Taylor Jones Woodworks.
My name is Taylor Jones, and I’m the creative mind and hands behind every handcrafted epoxy and wood project you see here. What started as a general interest in woodworking and the design behind river boards has grown into a business dedicated to creating unique, functional art pieces that bring beauty into your home.
I specialize in blending natural wood with vibrant epoxy to craft serving boards, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and decor that are not only practical but also true conversation starters. Each piece started with research into process, design, and high-quality wood and is made with care, precision, and attention to detail, ensuring that it’s as unique as the materials it’s made from.
For me, woodworking isn’t just a craft - it’s an outlet where I can pour creative energy and attention to detail. Whether it’s highlighting the grain of exotic wood, adding a pop of color with custom epoxy, matching handles to the style of board being created, designing the most perfect layout of wood, or working with you to design something entirely original, I love turning ideas into reality.
When you choose one of my pieces, you’re not just getting a product - you’re getting something handmade with passion and purpose. I’m excited to share my work with you and help bring a touch of artistry to your everyday life.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to creating something truly special for you!
PS: This is a very special shoutout to the friends, family, and community who have supported me with kinds words, purchases, questions and ideas to inspire my projects, tips and tricks, materials to get started, an offering of their own spaces for me to work out of, and helpful hands to guide me through trial, error, and expertise. I’m so very thankful!!!

Cut With Care
Wood is durable and so is epoxy. That said, if you take a knife to anything, it will scratch. Use the board primarily for serving and presentation rather than heavy chopping IF you are uninterested in buffing out scratches later on.
*I use 100% food-grade epoxy*
Showcase Creativity
Add a personal touch by using your board to style seasonal displays or themed platters. It’s perfect for hosting or as a centerpiece at any gathering.
Serve Warm, Not Hot
The board is ideal for serving warm foods, but avoid placing hot pots, pans, or dishes directly onto the epoxy or wood to prevent heat damage.
Keep It Dry
After cleaning your serving board, make sure it is completely dry before storing and avoid prolonged exposure to water to prevent warping or damage to the wood.

Avoid Direct Sunlight
Store your board in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can cause discoloration of the epoxy and dryness in the wood.
Stand Upright or Lay Flat
For long-term storage, stand the board upright to promote airflow and prevent trapping moisture. Alternatively, you can lay it flat on a clean, dry surface.
Maintain Humidity Levels
Store your board in an environment with moderate humidity to avoid cracking or splitting in the wood. Extremely dry or damp conditions should be avoided.
Wipe Down Immediately
After use, remove any food particles and wipe your board with a damp cloth or sponge. This prevents stains and residue from setting into the wood.
Use Mild Soap

For a deeper clean, use mild dish soap and warm water. Gently scrub the surface, focusing on the wood and epoxy sections equally, but avoid soaking the board in water.
Avoid Harsh Cleaning Agents
Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as they can damage the epoxy finish and strip the natural oils from the wood.
Dry Thoroughly
Pat the board dry immediately with a soft towel after cleaning. Allow it to air dry upright or flat in a well-ventilated area before storing.
Don’t Use the Dishwasher
Never place your serving board in the dishwasher, as the high heat and moisture can warp the wood and damage the epoxy.
Clean the Board First
Before conditioning, ensure the board is clean and completely dry.

Choose the Right Oil
Use a food-safe mineral oil or a specially formulated cutting board conditioner. Avoid using cooking oils like olive or vegetable oil, as they can turn rancid over time.
Apply the Oil Generously
Pour a small amount of oil onto the wooden sections of the board. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or paper towel to rub the oil into the wood, moving in the direction of the grain. Avoid applying oil directly to the epoxy, as it doesn’t absorb it.
Let It Soak
Allow the oil to soak into the wood for at least 20 minutes, or even overnight for a deep condition. This replenishes the natural moisture in the wood and prevents it from drying out.
Wipe Off Excess
After the oil has soaked in, use a clean, dry cloth to remove any excess oil, leaving the surface smooth and non-greasy.
Condition Regularly
For best results, condition your board every 1–3 months, or whenever the wood begins to look dry. More frequent conditioning may be needed if you use the board often or wash it frequently.
